I switch families in live mode when I do massive townie makeover. Awesome mod lets me do it by simply ctrl + clicking any walls of houses.

Of course you can switch to another family in Edit town mode, but I prefer this way. Also, I use Master Controller whenever I edit sims. [Testingcheatsenabled true > shift + click > Edit in CAS] does the same but I am used to using MC :)

O.M.G. Thank you, simvim! I’ve never thought sim’s attitude could affect the quality of drinks. Now everything makes sense. Bonita’s traits were artistic, athletic, mean-spirited, hot-headed and snob….!!
Yes, AwesomeMod sorta has a match making system, which is one of the many reasons I love AM. If you type “matchall” in the cheat box, all available (opposite gender only, though) partners’ names and scores (on a scale of -4 to +4) will be shown. It seems like the scores are given based on traits, favorite food, music and colours. Also it is smart enough not to recommend cousins!
Thank you so much :) I do have one tip to keep their original genes, which I learned after horribly ruining some townies faces: Do not change their noses and philtrum length. Noses seem to be the most important features to determine sims’ face structure. What I’m talking about is the front features of noses, such as nostrils’ size or height. Editing nose profile doesn’t seem to change much of the impression of sims.
Oh, I didn’t use head size slider in order to take compare shots. Of course, I will use the slider when I really use the sims in my game :) I hope you don’t mind me publishing this. I figured my “tip” might be useful for others, too.
(1) How to buy and sell food

A: Use food cash registers (WA)
The cash registers give not only the look and feel of a burger shop but also the function that your sims can actually buy food from an NPC that the registers spawn. You can also change her/his clothes using Master Controller as shown in the picture. There are various cash registers available (including consignment cash register from AMB) while, of course, only food register enables sims to buy good. Well, you can still pretend they are selling food (or anything) using any cash register.

B: Use professional bars (LN)
In order to buy and sell food using the bar item, you MUST set the lot type as a bar or club or lounge. The bar items also spawn NPC. The advantage of using this method is that you can have haute cuisine as well as group food and drinks.
C: Use mods
There is a mod that let you shop from inventory. There’s even custom food by ATS so you can have a bakery or such. I’m afraid I can’t explain more about these mods since I haven’t used them in person.
(2) How to work in the custom diner
You need custom rabbit holes to make community lots into “enterable” rabbit holes. Place the rug or door anywhere you want, and have your sims work there as culinary career. Sims will be just disappeared near the rug/door while they work. Note: custom rabbit hole for diner is only available for now, meaning that your sims can’t eat outside.
sushimilk replied to your photo: Yeah, I moved Sabre out in the last installment….
omg sabre reminds me of the office im sorry XD
DUH!! I named the 7th gen kids Dunder, Mifflin, Sabre!

There is a cheat to hide all the things above sims’ heads, including the skill bars, speech bubbles, and plumbobs: HideHeadlineEffects on :)

(1) There is no actual job as mixologist but sims can moonlight at local bars once their mixlogy skills reach level 5 (if I remember right). So, Poor Hitches is just a “bar” I put at the park ;) And the game automatically assigns a bartender to every bar in community lots. That’s how Bonita “hired” an employee.
On a different note, Mixology isn’t a money maker at all. Bonita usually picks up only §10~30 in tips! She’s been actually doing a losing business because she has to offer free drinks (about §50) to lure customers to take screenshots.
(2) The stray cat doesn’t actually “live” in the park but eats the canned goods and take a nap in the box of its freewill. I imagine all the stray animals live in a “bin” next to where all homeless sims and services sims live XD, which is probably located at the end of the world.
(1) You need Late Night ep AND Twallan’s Register mod to assign only one sim to each item in community lot. There are not only the professional bars but also piano, VIP fense, etc that you can assign sims to. Once you set the mod they come to work as NPC. I also change their uniforms using Master Controller and use 23hour bar/club mod so the NPC can never go home.
If you want one of the sims in your current family to work as a bartender, skill them up to certain level and they can moonlight to earn tips. There is no specific self-employed category for it, though :)

(the male is just a good looking NPC and the female is 6th heiress of Hitch legacy who is moonlighting.)
(2) If you have Workd Adventure ep, you can also use townies as NPC by using the cash register item - there are many types but, but I always use the food register.

I recommend to replace the register with this one by Sandy (ATS), though :)
You can have more than 8 sims per household by setting the ability of Awesomemod (set here) or Master Controller mod (use in-game setting). However, neither of the mods doesn’t allow you to see the portraits of the sims. So you’ll need the PortraitPanel mod which enables to display up to 24 portraits simultaneously.
Twallan once said it could conflict with AM, but apparently AM removed the conflicting code later. I’m currently using both AM and PortraitPanel, but haven’t borked my game yet :)
Wow… I’ve got many questions about how I could get a green baby. So I’ll try to sum up everything in this single post :)
First, you can get a past/future baby using the method simminglystrange said:
I think you have to use the “Woohoo in the Past/Future” for them to have children come from the Time Machine. You can do that while they’re in the ime machine, an option will pop-up if you click it.
Hi! Thank you so much for loving my blog :3 :3 I use The Master Controller to give makeovers to townies. After installing the mod, you can find a menu added to sims when you click them. [Click a sim]-[Nrass]-[Master Controller]-[Advanced]-[Edit in CAS] is what I use to fix townies faces.
OR, you can actually just edit Sims faces without mods. [Crtl+Shift+C]-[type TestingCheagsenabled True]-[Shift+Click a sim] and you will see [Edit in CAS] menu, too. I haven’t used this method though for some reason. I think I’m so used to the Master Controller xD
